The Carousel grabs your attention and doesn't let go. With rich layered vocals, a thunderous rhythm section, driving guitars, and a lush strings, their debut EP offers something for every music fan. Fans of early 2000s indie and punk rock will find a home here, as will listeners who appreciate strings and other classical influences. The EP was recorded at Golden Bear Studios in Des Moines with Bryan Vanderpool.

Each track holds a unique place on the record. “Brave Enough” is a bold and up-front opener. “Comes and Goes” keeps the energy alive while showcasing the string section, giving way to the reflective yet upbeat “Paths.” The pensive and nostalgic track "Old Friend" explores the dissolution of past friendships. Finally, the record ends with “Closer,” an expansive post-rock anthem that fuses all of the elements of The Carousel’s unique sound together for a captivating conclusion.
